Dr Simon Barker

Simon Barker, ND received his doctoral degree from the prestigious Bastyr University in Seattle. He spent three years practising in a busy multidisciplinary clinic in Southeastern Connecticut before moving to California to open Paracelsus with Dr. Daniel Brousseau. While on the East Coast, he set up satellite clinics in three further locations in Connecticut. He was an Associate Professor of Clinical Studies at the University of Bridgeport School of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He has written questions for the national Naturopathic licensing exams. He served as the vice-president of the Connecticut Society of Naturopathic Physicians in 2003 and is presently on the Board of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. He is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. He lectures frequently throughout Southern California and has made radio and TV appearances.

Dr. Barker holds a BA and an MA from the University of Connecticut. After leaving UCONN, he returned to his native Britain to work in a Camphill community near Dumfries in Scotland for a year. He stayed a further three years in the U.K., studying at the School of Homeopathic Medicine in Darlington, England, before returning to the United States for his naturopathic medical training.

Dr. Barker treats people of all ages for all conditions with an emphasis on the care of patients with cancer and hormonal imbalances such as hypothyroidism. He uses a wide variety of alternative health care approaches including homeopathy, diet and lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, anthroposophical medicine and hydrotherapy.

About Dr. Brousseau

Dr Daniel Brousseau

Daniel Brousseau, DO received his medical degree from Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL, where he was honored with the Medical Staff award. He did a traditional rotating internship at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital and Medical Center in Olympia Fields, IL. He completed an osteopathic family practice residency at Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, CA. He works as the staff physician at Stocker Crenshaw Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Brousseau completed the Physicians' Association for Anthroposophical Medicine Training in Anthroposophically Extended Medicine. Daniel Brousseau is a graduate of Highland Hall Waldorf School in North Hills, CA where he is currently the school doctor. He sees patients for anthroposophical medical care at the Raphael Clinic in Fair Oaks, CA. Dr. Brousseau has taught physiology, illness and child development to prospective Waldorf teachers at the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training in Sausalito, CA.

Dr. Brousseau is a family practice physician, employing both conventional and alternative approaches to medicine.

About Dr. Au

Dr Lilian Au

Lilian Au, ND , is a licensed naturopathic doctor at Paracelsus Natural Family Health Center in Pasadena. She joined the practice in November 2009. Dr. Lily is a graduate of Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ, and was the recipient of the Daphne Blayden Student Award for her academic achievement and her compassionate nature in helping others.

She completed two years of residency through the National College of Natural Medicine based in Portland, OR. She received her Bachelor degrees in Biology and Chemistry at Indiana University - Bloomington. Prior to medical school she was a research associate for 2 years in the Child Health Research Program at Children’s Memorial Hospital and helped to conduct studies on clinical and public health issues that affect children’s health.

Dr. Lily also currently serves as the Membership Committee Chair for the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. Dr. Lily’s focus is in Pediatrics and Family Practice, working particularly with Women, Infants and Children.

Brenda Barnetson

Brenda Barnetson, CMT, is a CranioSacral Therapy practitioner. She spent over fourteen years as a Waldorf School teacher and parent educator, while studying various complementary medicine modalities part-time. She began her healing work full-time after graduating from Hands On Healing Institute of Tujunga, California. Brenda has completed several advanced courses in CranioSacral Therapy, which encourages the patient’s own natural healing capacities through gentle correction and detection of restrictions and imbalances. She is a Teaching Assistant with The Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy I courses, and is a member of the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners, the American CranioSacral Therapy Association, and a local Dental Cranial Orthopedic Study Group. Brenda works with children and adults.
